Welcome to BELLA BAR Brow Tattoo Pre- and Post-Care, Required Policies + Agreements Deposits and Cancellations: A Booking Fee is required to hold your appointment time. They are non-refundable; however, they do apply directly to your procedure total. If you cancel within a 48 hour time frame, no show to your appointment or are 10 minutes or more tardy, you forfeit your deposit. In order to reschedule, a $50 fee will be applied to your total, a new deposit will be required with a valid credit card on file in order to hold an appointment time. If a second cancellation occurs within a 48 hour time frame, the entire amount of the procedure will be charged to the credit card on file. I realize urgent situations arise, and I review each situation on a case by case manner. Please do not schedule your appointment within three weeks of a special event such as a wedding, family photos or graduation OR within two weeks of a vacation that will involve heavy outdoor activity or water submersion. All cancellations due to realization of said special events are subject to cancellation fees for the time frames above. That being said, if a situation arises and I am forced to reschedule your appointment within a 24 hour time frame, I will subtract $50 from your total. Color Correction Policy: Color correction prices are based on two sessions. Any sessions needed after that are billed at $150 per session. Anyone who has had permanent makeup before should notify Nichole in the Medical History Form, regardless of if you think your tattoo requires correction or not. Prior pigment in the skin affects the new tattoo even if it is faded. It can require removal or further sessions which need to be discussed before the first session. If you need a correction and failed to inform Nichole that you have had prior permanent makeup before your first session will result in 50% of the deposit being reserved. Complimentary Touchups: I offer one complimentary touchup for every new procedure within 12 weeks of the original procedure. Between 12 weeks and twelve months, the cost is $150. After twelve months, the cost will be similar to the initial procedure. A cancellation within a 48 hour period, a no show or 5 minutes or more tardiness forfeits your complimentary touchup. A deposit in the full amount of $150 and a valid credit card on file will then be required to reschedule the touchup. Late Policy: My time is very important to me, my clients, and my family. I am often scheduled back to back and as so, I adhere to a strict 'on-time' policy. If a client is 10 minutes or more late to their procedure, their appointment will be rescheduled and the initial deposit is forfeited. A $50 fee plus a new deposit on a valid credit card to be held on file will be required to reschedule. If a client is 5 minutes or more late to a initial touchup, their appointment will be rescheduled and a $50 deposit will be required to reschedule. The consequent touchup will be $100. TIMELINE Pre-Care Instructions: 8 Weeks Prior : Please refrain from any laser or chemical treatments of the face from this point forward. 3 Weeks Prior : Please refrain from any Botox or wrinkle reducing regimen from this point forward. 72 Hours Prior : Please do not wax, tweeze or shave the area from this point forward. Please refrain from ingesting NSAIDs from this point forward. Please note : DO NOT stop taking any medication prescribed by your Doctor without checking with them first. 24 hours Prior : Please refrain from alcohol consumption from this point forward. Please do not schedule your appointments within two weeks of special events like weddings, graduations or if you’re going on vacation and will be in any body of water. NOTE: DO NOT come if you are sick or still showing symptoms of any kind. This includes an active infection, cold, flu or other illness. This also includes being on the “tail-end” of an illness such as still coughing, a runny nose is present or any other symptoms related to your illness. As a business owner, I cannot run my business successfully if I, myself, am sick or make other clients sick due to unnecessary exposure to illness. I also work with cancer survivors and the elderly who have weakened immune systems. If a client is found to have proceeded against these precautions, the appointment will be cancelled and the rescheduling fees will apply. REMINDER: UNAPPROVED GUESTS AND THOSE UNDER 18 CANNOT ATTEND YOUR APPOINTMENT. PLEASE COME ALONE. FACTS Permanent Makeup Expectations 1. Permanent Makeup take a minimum of two sessions to complete. The second session (first touch-up) is covered in the initial price of the procedure unless affected by the late cancellation policy. Any subsequent sessions (touch-ups) will be billed accordingly. 2. Permanent Makeup is an art, not a science. 3. The results of Permanent Makeup are not guaranteed. They are affected by many factors not limited to: client age, skin type, skin tone, or biological resistance to pigmentation. This is why during the consultation and design process, Nichole will determine the correct procedure appropriate for your face and skin type according to this factors. 4. Final finished product can be affected both positively and negatively by factors not limited to sun screen use, a personal skin care regimen and adherence to proper healing procedures. 5. Similar to a medical procedure performed by a doctor, every effort will be made to create the most optimal outcome however, BELLA BAR cannot guarantee the healing process. 6. Permanent Makeup may need at maximum, yearly touch ups. The rate of touchups depends on but is not limited to: client preference, client genetics, skin type and skin care regimen. Clients with oily skin types, clients who regularly place anti-aging skin care products on their brows or exfoliate harshly as well as clients who do not wear sunscreen outdoors are more susceptible to pigment loss. 7. Permanent Makeup fees are non-refundable. 8. Every effort will be made to ensure that clients are satisfied with the final, healed results. It is understood that due to factors beyond BELLA BAR’s control, final results may vary. Print for your records, or refer back to this page for details. BEFORE CARE Prior to your permanent cosmetic enhancement, think about the look that you wish to achieve. As experts in the field, we ensure that the correct colors and styles are chosen for you, however, you are part of the decision-making process. Permanent cosmetic enhancements normally require multiple application sessions. To achieve the best results, you will be required to return for at least one touch up procedure 4-6 weeks after the initial application. Be prepared for the color intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will subside and become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to fourteen days. Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may be swollen or red, you are advised not to make social plans on the day of your enhancement. Please wear your normal make-up to your enhancement appointment. Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen 24 hours prior to and after your enhancement. A sensitivity test will be performed unless waived upon request. Do not use Retin-A skincare products close to the enhancement area 2 weeks prior to and after your procedure. Do not tan or sunburn 2 weeks prior to the procedure. Do not work out the day of the procedure. No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior to the procedure. Waxing/tweezing hair removal should be performed no less than 3 days prior to your enhancement. IPL laser hair removal should be performed no less than 2 weeks prior to your enhancement. Electrolysis treatments should be performed no less than 5 days prior to your enhancement. Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your enhancement. Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. AFTER CARE After care is very important for producing a beautiful and lasting result. For the first few hours after the procedure, gently blot the area occasionally with a clean tissue to remove any lymph that might be leaking. Do this until it is no longer leaking. Keep the area clean by washing with freshly washed hands and a mild soap. I prefer unscented antibacterial foaming Dial hand soap & filtered water. Use your fingers to rub the soap in the direction of the hairs. Do not use a washcloth or sponge to remove soap. Simply splash with water. Do not use cleansing creams, acne cleansers or astringents. Apply the aftercare balm with a cotton swab. Use the balm very sparingly (just enough to barely coat your swab), your brows should not look shiny and you should not be able to see any excess balm. Too little is better than too much. Never touch the procedure area without washing your hands immediately before. Do not scrub, rub, or pick at the epithelial crust that forms. Allow it to flake off by itself. If it is removed before it is ready the pigment underneath it can be pulled out. Do not use any makeup near the procedure area for at least 10 days. Purchase new mascara and makeup, if possible, to avoid contamination or bacterial infection. Always use sunscreen after the procedure area is healed to protect from sun fading. Minimize use of exfoliating and anti-aging products in the area to maximize the life of the pigment within the skin.What’s Normal After Getting Permanent Make Up? Swelling, itching, scabbing, light bruising and dry tightness. Take ibuprofen for swelling. Aftercare balm is nice for scabbing and tightness. Too dark and slightly uneven appearance. After 2-7 days the darkness will fade and once the swelling dissipates unevenness usually disappears. Remember the color will be 30-40% lighter when fully healed. Color change or color loss. As the procedure area heals the color will lighten and sometimes seem to disappear. This can all be addressed during the touch up appointment and is why the touch up is necessary. The procedure area has to be completely healed before we can address any concerns. This takes at least 4-6 weeks. Needing a touch up months or years later. A touch up may be needed 1 to 3 years after the initial procedure depending on your skin, medications, and sun exposure. I recommend a touch up 4-6 weeks after the first session and annually to keep them looking fresh and beautiful. Touch up sessions after 4-6 weeks will be subject to additional charge. Other Potential Aftercare Warnings Giving Blood: The Red Cross has suggested that you do not give blood for 12 months following treatment. Always notify the nurse of any permanent procedures before donating. Injectables: Dermal fillers and Botox can alter the shape of the eyebrows. The client should be advised that injectable should be carried out after a microblading procedure and not prior. Laser/Pulsed Light: Laser or pulsed light hair removal or skin rejuvenation treatments can cause color change. It is important to advise the therapist that you have had a microblading procedure, as this cannot be rectified with another microblading procedure. Failure to follow after care instructions may result in infections, pigment loss, discoloration & unevenness. Welcome to BELLA BAR BOOK WAXING PROTOCOL BEFORE + AFTER Tips BELLABAR uses botanical wax that is formulated to be gentle and safe while providing anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Here are some tips that are recommended for a successful waxing appointment and regimen: We do not trim hair. Please do not shave, but trim your bikini hair to 1/4 inch (length of a piece of rice). Please Plan Ahead: Appointments must be scheduled at least 14 days in advance to receive your optimum date and time. MEMBERSHIP- We offer our LOYALTY Brazilian for Brazilians Waxes booked within 6wks of last appt. with us. No shaving for at least 14 days prior to service, because hair length must be 1/4 inch for waxing. SKIP THE CAFFEINE Please trim longer hair to no shorter than 1/4 inch. Tip: Longer is better than too short! Don't go too short! ;-) Hair that is too long will cause undue discomfort and require a longer appointment. Brazilians usually take 10-20 minutes-- if there is prior hair length grooming. DO NOT sunbathe or tan within 24 hours before or after waxing. DO NOT workout/exercise within 24 hours before or after waxing to avoid skin irritation. DO NOT shave between appointments; wax may be resistant to shaved hair. DO NOT use numbing creams! They have ingredients that prevent wax from adhering to the hair and will not render an effective wax service. Gently exfoliate at least 48 hours before your waxing appointment. We highly recommend our V-LOVE KITS for gentle and effective at-home exfoliation. To minimize discomfort, please take a pain reliever- TYLENOL ONLY at least 30 minutes prior to your waxing appointment. ONLY TYLENOL because other pain relievers are blood thinners. To minimize bumps and irritation, consider taking an anti-histamine before your service. Try to schedule your appointment several days after menstruation when service will cause less discomfort. We recommend booking your next appointment before leaving the studio to accommodate your schedule. 24 Hour Cancellation Policy-A credit card on file after a no-show or cancellation in less than 24 hours. Avoid heat (sauna, steam, etc.) 24 hours after waxing. When booking, there is an online HAIR REMOVAL INTAKE FORM to inform us of any skin medications or allergies that may affect your service. (See attachments on 'Treatments page to download your form(s) before your first visit. Always notify your Esthetician of and health, medical, or lifestyle changes at each appointment.
